Introduction
Hi! I'm Daniel Schnieder, a fourth-year computer engineering major at The Ohio State University with a passion for embedded systems, computer architecture, and game development. Currently, I'm leading the development of the electrical system at Buckeye Solar Racing as well as assisting the SiC Power Devices Reliability Lab at Ohio State University.

What am I currently working on?
September 29th, 2025: As the Electrical Lead for Buckeye Solar Racing, I've been focusing on recruiting
new members as well as getting the project teams organized for the new school year. The team is working on finishing
PCB designs (battery controls, steering wheel, lights, etc.), finishing the solar array layout design, and working on
utilizing AWS to host the telemetry website.
As an undergraduate research assistant, I've been performing stress tests on SiC MOSFETs, collecting the data,
and sending it to my supervisor who organizes and presents the data to Ford Motor Company. Also, I've been repairing
TDDB setups by replacing all their single-use fuses, replacing any broken resistors, and ensuring that all
slots are the correct resistance, so they can be used again.
The pictures below were taken over the past few years. The car shown is our previous solar car, Farasi II.
